Koigu yarns just beg to be combined. The more disparate your shades, the better they seem to blend. I have listed the shades used in the pictures as so many people want to replicate the exact combination of colours.

However, I dare you to be adventurous! Just pick any shades that grab your attention, do NOT consider how well they go together, trust the magic of the Linen Stitch! I promise the result will surpass your expectations.

Of course you can also make this shawl with more shades, or less, or using up left-over yarns. As long as you start with approx. 600 m (150 - 200 gr) of 4-ply, you will have enough yarn to finish it.

This pattern is also available as part of a kit.

Difficulty: Intermediate

Measurements: The finished size is 137 cm (54”) across the top and 28 cm (11”) down the centre back. This excludes the fringe, which adds 7 cm (3”)

Materials: 4 x 50 gr of Koigu KPM/KPPPM (you can substitute with any 4-ply yarn).
The Koigu shades in the pictures are: A: P847,   B: P476,   C: P623,   D: P859

Metreage: approx. 600 m - there is some room to play by varying the number of fringes, as most of them are added after you have finished knitting

Tension: (approx.) 22 sts x 48 rows measure 10 x 10 cm in Linen stitch

Notions: 4 mm circular needle, 80 cm minimum, 4 mm crochet hook or darning needle (for adding fringes)
