The garment pictures show you a number of colours made up into a Love Tunic. However, there are many more colours available - 40 in total, grouped into 4 charts. The last chart, MC4, shows colours of which we have VERY little fabric stock left.
How to order your Made to Order Linen Love Tunic:
- Select the colour chart showing the colour of your choice.
- Select your size and length, then add to bag.
- On the bag page, type the colour of your choice in the "Note to The Slow Wardrobe" box.
- Check out as usual.
- Your order will take 2-4 weeks to produce. You will receive a shipping notification as soon as it is on its way to you.
The Love Top is a versatile top in our lighter linen. Available in the usual 4 sizes that can both be worn by a range of different sized and shaped bodies, depending on the silhouette you like. Check the size guide for more details. The Love Top has 3/4 length sleeves, an oval neckline that complements your existing Layercakes and a slight sweep to the hemline (so it is a bit longer in the back). Choose your regular Layercake size for perfect pairing with the rest of your wardrobe.
The Love Tunic is the longer sibling of our Love Top. It only differs from the Top in its length - the Tunic is 20cm (8in) longer and follows an A-line from the waistline down to achieve a beautiful drape around the hips.
A note about fit
Because of the Dolman sleeves (the body panels and sleeves are cut in one piece rather than setting in the sleeves separately, just like the dress of the same name), the Love Top and Tunic are slightly more generous around the shoulders and bust. Therefore, if you are on the cusp of two Layercake sizes, you have the option to size down for a fitted top or size up for a looser fit, depending on your preference. In both cases, it will fit under your existing Layercakes.

Love Top / Love Tunic
4 sizes, designed to fit a very wide range of shapes and heights, from a UK size 10 to 28. Check these garment measurements to give you an idea of the fit for each size.
The Love Top is available both in a selection of linen colours as well as a selection of organic cotton jerseys. When choosing your size for the cotton jersey, you can opt for close to no positive ease for a more fitted look (the stretch will give you ease of movement despite a close fit).
NOTE: length measurements are taken from the top of the shoulder straight down to the bottom hem.

We do everything we can to be truly size-inclusive. We can highly individualise your garment, by adapting the standard fit and/or choosing a non-standard fabric/colour.

Linen Care & Washing Instructions
Every Layercake has washing labels sewn into them, usually in the left side-seam. All our linen is pre-shrunk, unless stated otherwise and can be machine-washed at 40º C and either line-dried or machine-dried. If you machine-dry them, take them out of the dryer as soon as it finishes and hang them up straightaway, then you will not have to iron them.
Our Linen
Linen is one of the world's strongest textiles and most sustainable fashion choices, creating zero waste as every part of the plant is used (for textiles and food). Our linen is all European grown, yarn-dyed and woven especially for us, then boil-washed to pre-shrink it.
