Details

The Joan Jacket is the love child of our Jan and Joy Jackets; with longer, wider sleeves and a slight flare to the body shape, the Joan is available in 2 sizes. The Small size is aimed at uk sizes 8-16. The Large size is aimed at both bigger sizes as well as those who prefer an oversized for. Please check the Fit guide for the garment measurements. Like the Joy, the Joan is a true reversible Jacket, but with a twist: rather than consisting of 2 layers of Linen, it is made up of our pre-shrunk washed Linen on one side, and a fine-woven brushed cotton flannel on the other side.

Linen Care & Washing Instructions
Every Layercake has washing labels sewn into them, usually in the left side-seam. All our linen is pre-shrunk, unless stated otherwise and can be machine-washed at 40º C and either line-dried or machine-dried. If you machine-dry them, take them out of the dryer as soon as it finishes and hang them up straightaway, then you will not have to iron them.

Linen is one of the world's strongest textiles and most sustainable fashion choices, creating zero waste as every part of the plant is used (for textiles and food). Our linen is all European grown, yarn-dyed and woven especially for us, then boil-washed to pre-shrink it.
